Dili, 06 July 2026 - Her Excellency Minister of Education Dra. Dulce de Jesus Soares held a meeting with representatives of LiteHouse International from Australia which supported 225 laptop equipment this year to schools, in the VIP room of the Ministry of Education Vila-Verde. After the meeting, Her Excellency the Minister of Education, Dra. Dulce de Jesus Soares said this morning held a meeting with representatives of LiteHouse International which is a partner in the Ministry of Education.

"They have helped the Ministry of Education by supporting 225 laptop equipment this year for schools and the laptops including donations from the Embassy of Kosovo in Australia and through LiteHouse International are distributed to Timor-Leste," said the Minister.

The governor explained, currently the ministry and LiteHouse International have distributed to some selected schools in 11 municipalities and each school that receives, will get 10 to 16 laptops to support teachers and students in those schools.

A representative from LiteHouse International added that the organization remains deeply committed to advancing digital literacy globally. Following the successful deployment to 16 schools last year, they are expanding their reach with a target to support 27 additional schools this year.
