Dili, October 19, 2026 — On Monday, the Minister of Education, Dr. Dulce de Jesus Soares, continued her monitoring and direct observation of the 2026 academic year’s National Exams by visiting four educational institutions in the Municipality of Dili: the 30 de Agosto Central Basic School (EBC) in Comoro; the Farol EBC; the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Catholic General Secondary School in Becora; and the CAFE Dili School.
The primary objective of these visits was to oversee the conduct of the exams and ensure that the entire process was carried out with integrity, transparency, and organization, in accordance with the procedures established by the Ministry of Education.
During the visits, the Minister took the opportunity to offer words of encouragement to the students, emphasizing that the National Exams represent an important milestone in their academic journey and their future.
The Minister urged the students to approach the exams with calmness, self-confidence, focus, and honesty, highlighting the importance of preparation and study in achieving good results. She further noted that the knowledge gained through study and prior preparation enables students to face the exams with greater confidence and assurance.
For their part, the principals of the four educational institutions expressed their gratitude for the Minister of Education’s presence, viewing the visit as a demonstration of the Ministry’s attention and commitment to the education sector, including Catholic education.
According to reports on the 2026 National Exams, the process has been proceeding satisfactorily, with a significant level of student participation.
